Your role
PAVE Space is building LYOBA, a heavy kick stage moving up to 4-tonne payloads from LEO to high-energy orbits in under 24 hours.
Our In-Orbit Demonstration spacecraft is moving from assembly to flight-readiness. The harnesses that connect every subsystem don't exist yet, and integration is measured in weeks. You'll be the person whose hands build the nervous system of the vehicle.
You will own
Flight harness manufacturing end to end: cable preparation, crimping, soldering, connector assembly, lacing, and routing
Harness standard definition and design for power, data, and RF applications
Spacecraft Assembly, Integration, and Test activities; mechanical and electrical integration of subsystems
Visual inspections and quality checks on harnesses and integrated assemblies
Full traceability and documentation to applicable standards
Cleanroom day-to-day operations: consumables, cleanliness standards, equipment upkeep
What we are looking for
CFC (Certificat Fédéral de Capacité) in electronics, electrical technology, or similar trade or ES (École Supérieure) Technician diploma or equivalent
2+ years of hands-on experience in space hardware AIT or equivalent high-reliability products
Proven harness manufacturing skills: crimping, soldering, connector assembly, cable lacing and routing
Experience working in cleanroom environments (ISO 8 or stricter)
You read and interpret electrical schematics, harness drawings, and wiring lists fluently
Rigorous, methodical approach, you don't skip steps
Clear English communication (French is a plus)
Nice to have: soldering certification for high-reliability environments, ESD-sensitive hardware handling, thermal vacuum or vibration/shock test campaign experience, rapid prototyping and iterative development, or previous work in a space startup.
You will fit if
You take pride in flawless workmanship on every crimp and every connector, because you know flight hardware doesn't get a second chance.
You'd rather own the full harness build than hand it off halfway.
You're comfortable spending your days in a cleanroom and ESD zones, and you keep those environments sharp without being asked.
You step in where integration needs you, even when it's outside your usual scope.
This is fully on-site in Villeneuve (VD). The IOD spacecraft is early; procedures are still being written, and some of the tooling isn't final. You'll be building alongside the engineers defining it.
What makes that worth it: the hardware you build will fly. You'll see your work leave the planet on PAVE Space's first mission, having built it with your own hands from raw cable to qualified flight hardware. We are building to ship, grounded on real hardware, real funding, real milestones.
Apply to contribute, or send this to the technician you know who'd want their work in orbit.
